A great dish that is tasty and wholesome without all the carbs and sugar.

Grilled teriyaki/ginger Wild Sockeye Salmon, Balsamic/honey braised cabbage salad with onions and apples, and steamed broccoli.  Super simple….cut a head of cabbage as you would for cole slaw

Add sliced onion(amount per your taste)

Toss with balsamic vinegar, salt n pepper

Marinate 6+ hours

Just before cooking add a drizzle of olive oil, toss, and braise in a very hot pan.

Cook just a few minutes, leaving the cabbage still crunchy, but braised.

Do in small batches till all is cooked

At very end add a sliced apple, cook till just starting to get soft, but some crunch left.

Toss all together (this is where I add the honey, just a tablespoon for the whole batch….balances out the vinegar, but, ok without  the honey)…. good hot or cold. Use some red cabbage for the additional antioxidants and color!! 😉
